ecofeminism

I was reading an article about teaching environmental art, and I came across the term "ecofeminism". When I had heard this term before, I assumed that ecofeminists were just feminists who cared about the environment. The more I read up on it, however, I realized that being an ecofeminist meant disaproving the hierarchal structure which exists between humans, nature, and other organisms. It also links the subordination of women and other minorities to the subordination of nature. I didn't know there was a term for seeking equality between humans and nature, and I'd just thought I'd share this in case anyone else didn't know, either. Here is the Wiki page on ecofeminism: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecofeminism
